Highlights:

  • George in a Quietus is a tough fight — “Read my lips…You will die…”
  • Spaceman Spiff quotes Calvin & Hobbes: “Die, Naggon fiend!”
  • Packlid Mann is a classic: “We are strong. We look for things. Things to make us go.”

Borge Collective (6)

A Borg parody — a hive mind of identical units with escalating threat levels.

Borge (Second of Five)Second of FiveBantamLightweightLow
Borge (Third of Five)Third of FiveBantamLightweightLow
Borge (Fourth of Five)Fourth of FiveBantamLightweightLow
Borge (Fifth of Five)Fifth of FiveBantamLightweightLow
Borge (The Hive)The HiveAPOCALYPSEHigh

All Borge units share the same catchphrase: “Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.”

The Hive escalates: “Assimilation is futile. You shall be destroyed.”

Note: The original game preserved a typo — Third of Five says “Resistance is futil.” This is intentionally kept as a period-accurate detail.

Encounter Tips

  1. Check the ship type. An NPC in a Quietus or APOCALYPSE is far more dangerous than one in a ThrustMaster.
  2. Faction membership helps. Joining Alliance or Maraken removes some NPCs from your encounter pool.
  3. NPC stats scale. As you upgrade your ship, you’ll face tougher NPCs. Don’t skimp on fighters and shields.
  4. Flee if outmatched. There’s no shame in running from Droznic’s Death Machine.
  5. Lord KABON and George are boss-tier. Both fly Quietus ships with 65 fighting odds. Prepare accordingly.
